Welcome to Holistic Herb Power
I’m so glad you’re here! I’m starting this blog as a space to explore how herbs can support the body, mind, and spirit,– gently, naturally, and with deep respect for the wisdom of plants. This is a beginner friendly space where I can journal about my experiences, write the things I wish to remember and learn, and hopefully find other enthusiast like myself. I have a couple herbalists friends that will hopefully help out, and we can experience and document our journey together. Overall, we believe that wellness doesn’t have to be complicated, it can begin with a single cup of tea, a handful of herbs, and a quiet moment of intention.

Why Holistic?
To be holistic means to see the whole person, not just symptoms, but stories. Here, we honor the emotional, spiritual, and physical layers of healing. Herbs are not quick fixes, they are companions on a journey. And you’re not alone on that path.
Who’s Behind This?
Hi, I’m J.D. Olivarez, a learning herbalist, former librarian, and curious plant-lover who wants to share the herbalist journey. Again, I created this blog to share what I’m learning as I grow my own herbal practice. My hope is that these posts inspire and support you in creating your own rituals of care. I am also an Amazon affiliate and put links to searches and products that I like in my posts. It’s only to support this blog if you happen to buy from Amazon and nothing more.
Let’s Grow Together
Thank you for joining me on this journey. If you ever feel overwhelmed, remember: you don’t have to know everything. Just start where you are. One plant, one recipe, one slow step at a time.
